i used to be able to hover the mouse over a date, and the event/task would show up in a floating box.
NOW, when i hover …NOTHING.
Looked in options cant find anything to help me

Maybe you should give more information about your system and versions, before one can reply. I, for example, have Rainlendar Pro, ver. 2.18 (build 171) 64 bit from May 2022. It is used in Windows 11 Swe Pro 23H2, ver. 22631.3235 on a PC. I have no problem with my version showing events/tasks - if there is an event or task. If there is no event/task given for a particular date, nothing will happen, of course.
By giving more version information, it helps the developers speed up the fault/bug finding process. They know where to look.

The popup can be enabled/disabled from Options->Advanced->“Show tooltips”
